Challenge: SMB share for group collaboration

(electronic music) - [Instructor] This challenge concerns creating a samba share for group collaboration with hidden credentials. Your rhhost1 VM will have a directory at slash var slash sambashare shared via CIFS, as sambacollab. Your rhhost2 VM will mount the share automatically at boot at slash home slash sambacollab using credentials hidden from prying eyes. This share is only accessible to rhhost2, no other host can mount it. Three users will have read and write access to the share, Bob, Ted, and Sally. No other users will be able to access the share even if they exist on rhhost2. You will need to resolve any SELinux access problems. This is a common samba share configuration and is similar to the NFS challenge. However there are differences in the way samba and NFS handle users and authentication as well as SELinux.
