Configure a virtual host on a nonstandard port

- [Instructor] Before you do this exercise, make sure you have completed the previous exercise which configured a basic virtual host. In this exercise, we'll create a virtual host that answers on a nonstandard port. I've chosen the port 8085 as it isn't being used for anything. Also for this exercise, you will want to be logged into rhhost1 with the terminal open. I've created a virtual host file for you and included it in the exercise files for this chapter. You'll want to copy the vhost2.com file to /etc/httpd/conf.d Once you've done that, let's take a look at it. Type in less space /etc/httpd/conf.d/vhost2.conf and hit Enter. Notice that we're specifying *:8085 on the virtual host directive. The rest is almost identical to the previous virtual host outside of the domain name change. Press q to quit. Before we get too far, we'll want to tell Apache to listen on port 8085. Type in sudo space vi space /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and hit Enter. Search for listen by pressing your forward…
