Create a secure share using Kerberos

- [Instructor] The RHCE exam includes using Kerberos for its indication with Samba. The version of Kerberos that's included in Enterprise Linux 7 is MIT Kerberos. The version of Samba included in Enterprise Linux 7, as of this recording, only supports Heimdal Kerberos. As such, we cannot recreate the environment you'll have during the exam. During the exam, you will be provided with information about the Kerberos server. Newer versions of Samba support MIT Kerberos. In the exam, you may be provided with a keytab file that needs to be copied to /etc on the Samba server. You'll need to set your Samba server's security mode to Active Directory. When you use smbclient to login and test it, you will need to use the following syntax, smbclient -k. When you mount it in the NCSF tab file, you need to specify sec=krb5 and you need to specify a user. Once this is done, a user with a ticket granting ticket should be able to login.
