Database services introduction
- [Instructor] This chapter covers database services using MariaDB. In this chapter, we perform the following steps. First, we install and configure MariaDB, then we manage SELinux for database services. We perform logical database backups and we restore logical database backups. Next, we create a database with tables and then we perform simple SQL queries against the database. And lastly, we recover the MariaDB root password. I've tried to cram the necessary database components into one chapter, but if you need more instruction, I'd recommend searching the course library for database servers using MariaDB. Also before we start, you may want to download and print the MariaDB cheat sheet included with this chapter.
