Finish the LDAP server configuration
- [Instructor] To ensure that our LDAP server is accessible from the network, we'll want to edit the firewall rules on our RH host one VM. In a terminal, type in sudo space firewall dash cmd space dash dash permanent space dash dash add dash service equals ldap, and hit enter. Now reload the firewall config by typing in sudo space firewall dash cmd space dash dash reload, and hit enter again. We also want to setup logging for the LDAP service by editing the RSYS log configuration. Let's load the RSYS.conf file in the vi. Type in clear, and type in sudo space vi space slash etc slash rsyslog.conf, and hit enter. Go in to the insert mode by pressing the I key, and go to the end of the file. Now add a line, and add local4 dot asterisk space slash var slash log slash ldap dot log. This will log to the /var/log/ldap.log file. Now, save and exit by pressing escape colon exclamation mark and hitting enter. Now restart the RSYS log service by typing in sudo space systemctl space restart space…
