- [Instructor] For this exercise, we'll be doing a non-interactive, automated install of CentOS 8 into a guest VM using a downloaded ISO image and a kickstart file. We will use the same CentOS 8 ISO image that we downloaded earlier in the course as well as the kickstart file from the exercisefiles.zip archive that we extracted. Keep in mind that when creating a new virtual machine, you have two environments: the installation environment and the installed operating system environment which comprises the packages installed in the VM as well as the system configuration. For instance, you could install in Spanish but have English configured in the installed OS environment, or we could install from the command line but configure the GUI in the installed OS environment.
