Managing virtual machines

- [Instructor] We can manage our guest VMs using the Virtual Machine Manager GUI. The default view shows our VMs and whether they're running or not. If they are running, it shows the guest CPU usage on the right. We can have it show the host CPU usage on the right by going to the View, Graph Menu, and selecting Host CPU Usage. We can double-click any of the VMs to open the VM Viewer. From that interface, we can use a Virtual Machine Menu to pause, shut down, clone, migrate, or delete the VM. We can also take a screen shot. Note that this is not a snapshot which freezes the current state. To manage snapshots, click on the Manage VMs Snapshots button on the toolbar. We can also go to the View menu and click Details to see all of the VM details. Here, we can add or configure the guest VM's virtual hardware.
