Adding finish floors to each room: First floor

- [Instructor] Now that we have a structural floor, the next thing that we want to do is put our finish flooring material here inside of our project. To begin with here on the first floor, let's zoom in to this upper right-hand corner. And what I'd like to do is go to the Architecture tab and then select on Floor. Now, we don't want to use the Wood Joist 12 inch floor. What we're going to place will be a floor which is nothing more than the material that'll be sitting on that structural floor. For this half of the house we'll be using carpeting. So, let's select on Carpet. After picking on Carpet, make sure that your Level is the First Floor and that for the Height Offset we type in one quarter of an inch. Now, this is a fairly cheap carpet and that's the reason why it's only a quarter of an inch high. But this is the actual thickness of the flooring material. So, what this means is that since floors are drawn down from the level that you're drawing them on, we're actually raising it…
