Adding schedule views

we're going to add a schedule view. Now a schedule view if just a tabular view of your model but it's really not that dissimilar to a floor plan or an elevation. Now what do I mean by that? Well if you think about what a floor plan and an elevation is it just simple slices through the model at a certain location it draws them on screen. Well a schedule will look at your model but instead of slicing it, it'll just look at the whole model, gather up all the elements of a certain category and then list them out in a table. But otherwise, they're both live views of the model and you can do a lot of the same kinds of modifications in a schedule that you can do in a floor plan or an elevation. So let me show you what I mean. So let's start off by creating a new scheduled view. So I'm going to go to the view tab. There's a schedules drop down and then the first item is schedules and quantities and I'll choose that. That will display the new schedule dialogue and here you've got a list of all…
