Adding text - Revit Architecture Tutorial
From the course: Revit 2020: Essential Training for Architecture (Metric)
Adding text
- Every architectural drawing includes some text, so in this video we're going to look at the Text Notes tool in Revit. Now we can get to the tool in a couple different places. It's up here in the Quick Access toolbar, or you can find it on the Annotate tab right here, or you can use the keyboard shortcut t + x. Now, I'm working in an elevation view, but text can be added to any view that you'd like. Text is, however, a view-specific element, so the text that I add will only appear here in this particular view. So I'm going to click over here in space to get started, and type my first note. And then, the way you get out of the Note command is to click next to it in empty white space. Now this is important because, there's this kind of instinct to want to press enter. So, if I started typing some other note here and I press enter, notice that that will not get me out of the command, it'll just go to the next line in the note. So you definitely want to get in the habit of clicking away…
