Attaching walls to roofs
- In this video I want to talk about the wall attachment feature. So this feature allows us to attach the heights of our walls to other Geometry and the most obvious use of that is going to be in the example I have right here. As we can see, all of my exterior walls kind of stop short of the roof and we have this big old gap at the top there. So this attach feature is just a really easy way that we can close in that gap and have the wall Geometry continue up to the roof. So let's take a look. So I'll start off by just showing you the basic mechanics of the command. If you just select one of your walls, I'll pick this one here, you should see two buttons on your modify walls tab, you've got attach top and base and detach top and base. So detach you use after it's been attached so obviously we'll start with attach first. When I choose that you actually can attach the top edge of the wall or the bottom edge of the wall to other Geometry. So naturally it's the top edge that we want to…
