- [Instructor] Now let's draw a staircase on the inside of our building. To accomplish that, down here in our Floor Plans, Basement, zoom into this room. Now what we want to do is have a staircase that starts somewhere in this area and then goes up and eventually hits the first floor somewhere over here in this area. To do that though, we need to know where we want to start our staircase at. Now I did some math before this exercise began and I know that the bottom of the staircase should be about four feet four inches away from this wall over here. So what we'll do is we'll start off by coming up here to Annotate and then just selecting on a Detail Line. Click along the face of this wall, right about here, come over, and then just type in four feet four. Then draw a line that just goes straight up from there. And then you can hit the escape key a couple of times on the keyboard to get out of the command. One other thing you'll notice is that this line gets very close to where our…
