Creating a ground bearing slab to code

- [Instructor] In chapter 02-03, we're going to be creating our up to code ground bearing slab. So I'll run through the process and then we'll stick it in in between these lower level walls. We'll do something else as well. We'll explain in a bit. So Architecture tab, that's the one we need. We need to come over to Floor and then we need to choose this one here, Floor-Ground-Bearing slab. Now this isn't quite up to scratch. And also we've got the insulation above the slab. We want it below the slab. So we'll click on Edit Type, so we can see there's our insulation. We want that to sit there below, then we've got to overcome a couple of issues as well with priorities of layers. And we're going to click on Duplicate, and we'll call it GB Slab U0.13. That's all we really need to say. It's a U value of 0.13. That's the requirement and by putting 130 mil of our Celotex XR400 below the slab, we're going to achieve that.…
