- [Instructor] When I first start a project in Revit, one of the first things that I want to do is to set up the various levels that we need in order to create all those objects that we have in the Revit environment. Now we can always place these levels after the fact, but if you happen to know the elevation of certain levels before you ever start the project, it helps to place those levels in right at the start of the project. I'm going to click here inside of the view that's our north elevation view, and then spin the wheel of the mouse to zoom in to see the names of each one in these levels. Currently we have two levels. The first one is called first floor, which is at zero feet, zero inches, or in this case it just says zero inches. And we have top, which stands for top of plate. This is where our roof will be sitting when the roof is drawn in, and right now it's at the nine foot mark. I know that we'll also have a basement inside of this project.
