Creating porch stairs and railings
- [Instructor] Let's add our stairs to our front porch area. So on our first floor plan, click inside of that view, and then just spin the wheel of your mouse until we get to this spot that has the two columns. And what we'd like to have would be stairs that come from here and lead down from the porch. Since we want stairs, we go to the architecture tab, and then we select on the stair command. Next there's an option here for the actual location line. Now I'm not exactly sure where we need to start but let's go ahead and select this exterior support left. Then for the actual run width, I think it's about six feet in between each of these columns. We can always adjust it after the fact if it isn't. So for the actual run width we'll just type in six feet. For the base level, I'm going to click here, now this level will seem a little bit strange, but I happen to know that it is the closest level in elevation to where these stairs need to be at.
