Creating section views

- [Instructor] Sections allow you to cut through your building and see the physical relationships between the various materials, as well as give you the ability to detail out the way that a building is constructed. To place a section, we can go to the View tab, and then click on Section. The first section that I want to create will be from this location, where my cursor's currently at, over to this location. One of the first things that you might notice is this blue-dashed box that shows up. Now, the blue-dashed box is actually designed to allow you to control how deep that your section cut needs to be. Anything that's between this thick blue line, and then you have the dashed line here, that's what will show up inside of the section. Let's take a look at our Section view. With this line selected, just right-click and you can select on Go to View. Now we can see a section which is going all the way through the building.
