Exploring the annotation toolset
- In this lesson, chapter 502 we're going to be exploring some of these little icons on the Annotate tab, Detail Line, Region, and Component. We'll be creating our own components. We'll also be using the Masking Region and the Filled Region and we'll be using Detail Lines as well. Now, when we click on Detail Line it opens up the modified place, detail lines ribbon and it allows us then to create pretty much any shape that we could think of using these draw tools and then to modify, offset, trim, using the modification tools. So really, really useful. Let's go back to the Annotate Tab and look at this Region. Two different types of region we've got Filled Region, which is for hatching. And we've got the Masking Region which is for obliterating things or hiding things. Then when we create these we've got to be a little bit careful about the boundary because if you want a masking region not to have an edge then you have…
