Exporting to AutoCAD
- [Instructor] From time to time you'll find yourself needing to share your work done in Revit with a recipient who doesn't have Revit. So in those cases, you're going to want to export to a file format that they are able to access. And perhaps the most popular one is AutoCAD DWG. So in this video, I'd like to show you the process of exporting a couple of the views from our Revit project to AutoCAD drawings. Now the way it works is you can choose one or more views from your Revit project and those will be turned into AutoCAD drawings. So let's start on the file menu. Go down to export here. That will give a menu full of options here and then we'll slide over to CAD formats and choose DWG. Now in this window, there's a variety of things that we can configure. So initially, it's showing me the current view. Whatever I happen to have open in the background. Now if you want to change that and choose something else to export, you've got another option on this export dropdown right here…
