Hiding and isolating objects in a model

a couple different ways that you can hide elements selectively. And I'm going to focus on two different techniques. One is a temporary technique, where you're going to hide just in your current work session just to make it more convenient to perform and edit. And then a more permanent hide where So let's start with temporary hide/isolate. This is a temporary display mode that you can use to make editing more convenient. So let me show you a really simple example. I've got some foundation walls here at the corner of this building, and really wrapping around the entire building. But as you can see, they will highlight if I move my mouse in the vicinity but I can't really see what I'm selecting. So sometimes it's just nicer to be able to actually see the objects that you're selecting. So the problem is that this topography right here, which is part of a linked file, is in the way.
