Inserting a floor opening for the stairs

- [Instructor] Now that our staircase is in place, the next thing that I want to do is draw in what I'm calling my opening object here in our floor plan view. Now I'm going to start by drawing that opening object down in the basement level. So come here to where we have our floor plans and make sure that you're in basement, then spin the wheel of your mouse to zoom in to this area. The next thing that we want to do is we'll actually draw that opening. And the kind of opening that we want is considered a shaft opening, and we can see a picture of it here underneath the Architecture tab. Click on that shaft opening command. Come over here to the edge of your staircase. Click once. And what I'd like to do is just have an opening that comes over four feet two inches in this direction. So after selecting on this corner of my staircase, I'm going to come up here and then begin to move my line over and type in four feet two. Then just the enter key.
