- [Instructor] Sometimes you want to demolish just part of an object, and that's true also maybe of some of the other phase settings, you only want them to apply to just a portion of the object, but I think the demolition is probably the more prevalent need from time to time. Well, the trouble with that is you can't achieve that directly using the phasing tools as they exist. In other words, each object can only have one set of phasing parameters. So it's not possible to demolish one piece and keep another piece. So how about an example? Let's think about this roof right here. Naturally the portion of the roof on the left is over the portion of the building that we're keeping, and the portion on the right, the little wing there, is the part that we're demolishing.
