- [Instructor] In chapter 4-02 Revit roof options. We're going to look at the different approaches you can take in Revit to create a roof that looks a bit more like this rather than this which is the traditional buildup of rain screen right through the structure to the internal finish. So in this example, the roof is just the rain screen. Then that sits on top of these rafters. And then thereafter sit on top of the purlins. And then on the inside we've got a pastor board finish to obscure the rafters. Now, the reason for that is simply because we've got this room in the roof and the rafters go all the way up. This is not a trust system by any stretch of imagination we want to have access to this space. So we would have to go for this more traditional cut roof approach. And also when you look at it it does look far more interesting than something that just looks a bit like that. So it has far more character to it, I think.…
