Selection

we're going to talk about selection. Revit offers us many different ways that we can make selections of elements and since selection is the first step of most modification tools then it's definitely a skill that you want to get quite comfortable with. Now, I've got a simple floor plan here on screen and we're going to use this just as a backdrop highlighted on screen in this blueish color, and then you'll see a few changes on the ribbon. So to deselect it, you click an empty white space, and notice that we're on the architecture tab by default and the properties palate says floor plan. But as soon as I select that wall, we leave the architecture tab and we're now on the modify tab and it adds the category name to the end, modify walls, and then beneath that there's a bunch of buttons that pertain to just that selection, walls in this case, and then the properties palate also adjusts to the selection.
