Using a beam system to create a suspended floor

- [Instructor] In the final lesson in this chapter, we are going to be looking at putting in a suspended beam and block floor. Now, Revit gives us the option for a beam and block floor, but it's just a series of layers and doesn't actually look like a beam and block floor when you cut through it in sections. So, I have created a beam based on the specification from a company called Milbank in the UK, and using their beam calculator worked out that it's a T155 that will span this four-meter distance, and I've put in a detail line there, so we can just use that to select the actual outline of the floor. Now, most of this has been set up for you, but feel free to sort of pick your say through it, have a look at the beam down in the Families, and various other bits of pieces, but there are a few steps to squeeze in, so I thought it would be easier to do a lot of the prework for you.
