Using cutaway views
- [Instructor] This video, I want to show you three different methods that you can use to create cutaway 3D views. So when you go to the default 3D view, it shows you the entire building model and that's certainly useful, but sometimes you want to actually get inside your model and focus in on a certain area and the best way to do that or an easy way to do that is to create a cutaway of your 3D view. So let's start with the manual way to do it. So here I am in my default 3D view and if I just sort of scroll down here, and expand the 3D view's branch, you can see it right there. It's the curly bracket 3D view. And what I want to do is make sure nothing is selected and then over here on the Properties pallet, I'll scroll down and locate the Section Box checkbox and you just simply check that. Now that'll create this very large box that surrounds the entire model. Once you've got that, you'll see that it's got grips on the bottom, on the top and on the four sides, and you can just grab…
