some alternative ways to apply slope to a flat footprint roof, and these are a set of tools called the shape editing tools. Now the first thing that you need to know is that shape editing tools are a sub function of footprint roofs and they only work if the roof starts off completely flat. So what I mean by that is if we select this roof over here which has some sloped surfaces to it you'll notice that you only have an edit footprint button. Now if I deselect that one and select either this one or this one, notice that in addition to the edit footprint button you also have a whole bank of tools under the label of shape editing. So that's the first step if you want to use the shape editing tools is you have to start with a flat slab. Now I'm going to be demonstrating these with roofs, but actually these tools will work with floor elements as well. So everything I show you here with roofs will work equally well with floors.
