Using snaps

Using snaps

- [Instructor] This video I'm going to talk to you about snaps. Now we have two kinds of snapping behavior that we can take advantage of in Revit. We have, sort of an on-screen increment snapping behavior and we also have object snaps, so I'm going to go ahead and demonstrate both of those. Now, snaps work with any kind of geometry, but it's easiest to demonstrate them by just drawing a few walls. So, the first thing I want to do is zoom out a little bit. So, I'm going to right-click and choose Zoom Out two times and then I'll go to the Architecture tab and click the Wall command or type w + a. Now, I'm going to click anywhere out in space and start creating a new wall and it will indicate zero initially when I get started. I'm going to start moving slowly in this direction and what you're going to see is that the dimension that appears there is snapping in a set number of increments and if you look carefully you can kind of figure out what it is, it's about a 1000 millimeters, okay?…
