Working with slope arrows
- [Instructor] In this video we're going to look at slope arrows. Slope arrows are a way of controlling the slope in roof elements, floor elements, ceiling elements. And it varies a little bit from using the more traditional slope defining edge option. So just to remind you what I mean by that, let's go ahead and pick one of these roofs that I have here on screen. This one starts off being completely flat here. And I'll go to edit footprint. Now notice that none of the lines have that little triangle on them. So I'll select one of the edges and I'll check the defines slope checkbox, and I'll click finish. And do you see how that slope-defining edge became like a hinge? Another way to describe that is that the slope follows perpendicular to the edge itself. So the edge is running horizontal, but the slope went along this way, right, perpendicular to that. So what if the slope that you need to define is not perpendicular?
