Adding a cable tray
- [Instructor] Cable tray never used to exist in the early dark days of Revit, we had to model our own families. It was horrible, well guess what? We have all sorts of cable tray now. The objective of this video is to run cable tray out of the electrical room over to the far reaching end of our building, and then we'll add bends, rises, drops, and T-interceptions as well. Under projects we'll go Open, we will browse to where we're keeping our exercise files and then grab cable tray, click Open. Let's make sure we're in Electrical, Fire Alarm, Floor Plan, Level 1. Let's zoom in on the electrical room. Go to the Systems tab, grab the cable try button right here. We have all sorts of Cable Trays. Click the drop down here, and I'm gonna go to Cable Tray with fittings and Ladder Cable Tray. My offset it 9 feet, I'll keep it that way.
