Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Adding fixtures and domestic supply piping, part of Revit 2021: Essential Training for MEP.
- [Instructor] The biggest problem we're going to have … with adding the components, plumbing fixtures, … is the fact that the architect … usually shows the fixtures in their model. … And if they do that, … we can't connect our pipe to them. … So what do we do? … Well, there's three different things we're going to do. … Let's open our plumbing project-01. … Let's zoom in on this area here. … First thing I'd like to do … is make a call out of this area. … Go to the view tab, … click the call out button right here. … Pick a big window right around this whole area here. … Hit escape a couple times. … Now let's double click on this bubble right here. … That gives us a call out. … Instead of an eighth inch equals a foot, … I'd like to change the scale, … but notice we cannot, … because our template is appended to a view template. … So let's scroll down to view template … and click on plumbing plan. … Now click on none, and click okay. … Now let's change our scale to a quarter inch … equals a foot. …
