Adding insulation
- [Instructor] What I'd like to do in this video is add some insulation to our duct. There's a couple different types of insulations we can add. And also, I'd like to add some linings. So, to get started, let's jump into Revit. Mechanical Project-09. I'm going to pick on our supply system. Hover over one of these pieces of duct, and hit Tab once, then select it. It's going to select most of your main branching. Click Add Insulation. Insulation Type, let's go with rigid fiberboard. Let's click Edit Type. Now, let's drill into materials as insulation rigid fiberboard, so we can click on this button here. And notice that it's going to give us a cut pattern of diagonal crosshatch, and I don't want a surface pattern. So hit OK. Hit OK. For thickness, we'll go with 50 mm. Click OK. Now, notice that it added that insulation to our duct. Pretty cool. And this is a good method for when you're doing clash detection.
