Adding mechanical equipment
- [Narrator] Adding mechanical equipment is easier than it sounds. The biggest problem isn't how we add it, it's where we add it. Remember, we're using a 3D program now we can't just start placing equipment and other components on the ground. We'll need it up in the air, above the ceilings. Let's get started and jump into Revit. I have my mechanical project open. The first thing I'd like to do, is let's go to the Annotate tab, and then let's go to our Project Browser Mechanical, HVAC, Ceiling Plans, Level 1. Zoom in on this area here, the problem is we don't know how high these ceilings are. On the Annotate tab, let's click on Spot Elevation. If I hover over this, we'll see we have eight feet, or in metric, it's 2,438 millimeters. That's good to know. We don't need to place this in, we're just going to hover over these areas here. Eight feet, hit escape a couple times. Now, let's go to the Systems tab. Let's find…
