- [Instructor] As I mentioned before, once you've converted or optimized a typical Revit system into fabrication parts, there's no turning back. That's okay though, 'cause we have an entire menu of parts to choose from. This video is going to have us adding elements using the Fabrication Parts menu as opposed to creating traditional Revit components and then converting them. Let's hop into Revit. Under Projects, let's go to our Mechanical Template. Let's go to Systems. Let's go to our Fabrication Settings. Let's go to Metric Content V705. We've got all kinds of stuff we can bring in. In this case I don't want to bring everything in, so I just want to grab some HVAC stuff. I'm going to grab some of these General ones, Kitchen, Smoke, Toilet. I'm going to click Add. I'm going to click OK. Now what we'll see is our general stuff. If I want I can click straight. What this is going to do now, this is going to add it as an optimized length.
