Importing AutoCAD

- [Instructor] So I suppose you have some old AutoCAD details laying around that you need to throw away because you're using Revit now. Don't worry you don't have to quite do that yet. As a matter of fact you can use them directly in Revit. Let's take a look at importing CAD. We'll first import an AutoCAD detail, then query its information. Then we'll explode it and see what we can do. So let's click on Revit Workflow-02.rvt. Remember this drafting view, let's create a new one. Let's go to View. Let's click on Drafting View. Let's call it TYPICAL AHU all caps, T-Y-P-I-C-A-L A-H-U. The scale I think it's 12 to 1". You have to know the scale of the AutoCAD drawing you're bringing in or it's going to blow up, click okay. let's go to Inserts. Let's go to Import CAD.
