Starting a mechanical project
- [Instructor] We started a mechanical project, just like you'd start any other project. We begin by creating a new project using the correct template. Then we link in the architecture, turn on room bounding and we're off. So let's jump into Revit and get started. In this case, we're going to start a brand new project. So under models, let's go to new. Now, remember we can click the drop down here for template file or we can click browse. I'm in the English Imperial, but if we click the drop down here and go back to the templates, notice that again, you can find whatever your region is or you can go US metric. I'm going to stay in English, I. I'm going to grab MechanicalDefault.RTE, then I'll click open. Now, let's click okay. Perfect. We can't go very far without an architectural underlay so let's go to the insert tab. Let's link Revit, browse where you're keeping your exercise files. I'll find my backgrounds.…
