Tagging duct
- [Instructor] If your system contains duct work, mechanical equipment, air terminals, and accessories, that means you can place tags as well. Tags are used to relay information about that duct to the person reading your drawing. In Revit, however, we do not use simple pieces of dumb text 'cause text is dumb. If we add text and the duct changes, the text is suddenly wrong. If we add a tag, we are adding a component that is reading the duct, and it will change the display if and when the duct changes. So let's jump into Mechanical Project-06. Let's go to HVAC Ceiling Plan Level 1. And let's zoom into this area here. What to tag first? Let's tag our air terminals first. See this little icon right here. It's called Tag by Category. It's so popular that it's on the quick access toolbar. It is also here on the Annotate tab, Tag by Category.
