- Although we may not use dimensions that much in MEP. It's still prudent to cover the topic. Like texts dimensions are considered annotation. However, Revit dimensions are a little bit more than that. We're going to use dimensions as both the means to communicate to the person reading our prints. And as a way to lay out our geometry. Let's get started, let's open up Revit Workflow 09. Let's zoom into here. Say this duct work was a specific distance away from this. I'm going to click on my aligned dimension button. I'm going to pick this piece of duct. I'm going to come down and pick this piece of duct. Now I'm going to pick a point off of it like here. I'm going to hit escape. Now, I want to move this item up to make it an even four foot six. If I select this piece of duct, I'm indicating to Revit that this is what I want to move.
