- [Instructor] Cutting the section sure makes it easy to model items such as pipe and conduit. But the truth is the actual reason we cut a section is to actually create a detail. To get started let's jump into Revit. Under Fire Alarm Floor Plans let's go to our Enlarged Electrical Plan. I'm gonna zoom into this area here. And I'd like a detail of this area. To do that in my quick access toolbar I'm gonna click on the Section button. I'm gonna cut a section right through here. I'm gonna zoom out a little bit. I'm gonna grab this grip here. And I'm gonna pull my section down so all I can see is this conduit, this panel, this cable tray. And I'm gonna hit Escape a couple of times. I'm gonna open up my section by double clicking on the bubble. I'm gonna set my detail level to Fine. And I'm gonna come over to my Properties in my Project browser I'm gonna rename this guy. So for my View Name with the Cap Locks turned on I'm gonna call it Section At Electrical Room. I'm gonna hit Apply. I'm…
