- [Narrator] The last type of rebar we put in, we put it in stick by stick, piece by piece. We can actually set it to be on center major and minor directions and the top and bottom. This works for both slabs as well as foundation walls. Let's create some area reinforcing. Let's open up structural 35. Let's go to level one structural plans. I want to add some area reinforcing here. Go to the structure tab, click area. Let's select the edge of our floor. Okay, let's start. First thing I want to do, though, is I want to come over here. I want my layout rule to be maximum spacing. I don't want any additional cover. I'm going to hit the drop-down here. Top major direction, number fours, that's fine, no hook. Top major spacing is one foot. Top minor direction, we have that on. Top minor hook, none. Top minor spacing. It's going to be a grid pattern. Scroll down more. We don't need the bottom.
