Adding a step footing family

- [Narrator] That step footing is cool for sure, but when we're scooping earth out, it is sure hard to get a perfectly vertical slice. The objective of this video is to fill in the chunk of concrete that is needed in the corners. To do that, we're actually going to model an in-place family. So let's jump into Revit and I'm going to open my Structural-16 model. In the project browser, let's go to our West elevation. Going to zoom in on my footing step. Now on the structure tab, click the component dropdown and let's select model in-place. Let's scroll down 'til we find structural foundations and click OK. For the name, we'll call it stepped footing and click OK. Notice that the entire interface changes and this is more of a 3D modeling-looking type application now. Click extrusion. Revit doesn't know where to place this thing, so we want to pick a plane. Click OK. Now if you hover over one of these steps, notice…
