Constructing wall profiles
- [Instructor] In this video, I want to show you a really simple but effective technique to edit wall geometry. So that's going to be the edit wall profile command. So with edit profile, you can go into a sketch mode and actually change the shape of the wall as it appears in elevation. So when you first draw the wall, you're drawing two points and usually in a plan view for the start and end of the wall, and then you set the height on the properties palette, and that creates a rectangular profile. Not unlike say this wall right here. You see how the top edge is nice and square. And the two side edges are vertical. Well, if we look at the wall next to that, adjacent to that over here on the left, if I spin this around, I'll just sort of use the turntable here on the view cube and then zoom in a little bit on that. Notice that at the top edge of that wall, there's this little curved sort of scalloped edge top there.…
