Customize a connection
- After all the configuring we've been doing hopefully the question arises, can we save the configuration? Sure, we can do that. Let's go in and make a custom connection. Under Models, let's go New. For our template file we will use Metric-Structural Template. Click Okay. On the Structure tab let's go to Beam. Try a little beam in here. Try a little beam in here. Go to a 3D view. Zoom in on our little T. Let's change our detail level to Fine. Let's change our visual style to Realistic. Let's grab a connection. So let's click on the Connections Settings icon and I'm going to grab a Clip Angle. Going to click Add. Going to click Okay. Click the Connection button. Select the connection you want. It's got Clip Angle. Hold down the Ctrl key. Select these two beams and hit Enter. Let it generate. Now I want to make a custom connection.
