- [Instructor] Sometimes you just can't avoid using AutoCAD. That's fine, you can use it, you're not violating some damn rule or something. But by creating the Drafting View at 1 to 20, we're going to import an AutoCAD detail then we'll drag it on to a drafting sheet. Let's get started. Under Models, let's go, Open. Browse where you're keeping your exercise files. I'm going to open Structural_46. What we need to do is make a new Drafting View. So go to, View, then go to Drafting View right here. For the name, we'll call it AutoCAD Beam Detail. You need to know the scale since we're dealing with AutoCAD. I happen to know that that scale is 1 to 20. Click, Okay. Go to the Insert tab and click on Import CAD. I'm going to browse to my Typical Perimeter Beam section and we have some choices.
