Splitting a wall into precast elements

[Instructor] Let's continue from our last video. We need to start treating our walls as if they are precast panels. That means that we need to go past the point of no return. This step has to be done before any of the other steps can be performed. The objective of this video is to create precast assemblies of our walls based on the distances we specified in our configurations dialogue. Let's go to Configuration. Solid Wall, Part. Let's go to Segmentation. So this is where we can specify our minimum wall length and our maximum wall length. Right now I don't need to change any of this, but notice we have maximum weight. That kind of plays into everything as well. I like the default setting so I'm going to click cancel here. I'm going to make a copy of that window opening though. Let's go down to our basement structural plan. I'm going to zoom in on this opening, it actually calls it a door but it's simply the opening.…
