- [instructor] I'd like to talk about phasing. Gone are the days when we could just build a new building out in the middle of a field somewhere. generally most of our projects are going to be some kind of renovation. So I'd like to discuss how Revit, deals with the phasing aspect. I'm going to open Revit, I'm going to open my structural 55 model. Go to your Manage tab. Go to, "phases," by default we'll have two phases already built in existing a new construction. I don't like to add a lot of phases, but in this case, it's prudent. So I'm going to select number one. Now I'm going to insert, "after." Instead of phase one, let's call that, "demolition." Notice that for graphic overrides, we can click this, "existing is nice and light, demolished heavy and dotted line." New is old, temporary. If we demolish an item on the phase it was created on, it's considered temporary. We'll keep these defaults for now. Click…
