- We can model retaining walls the same way we model regular walls, they just do different things. The objective of this video is to model a retaining wall. We will then model a retaining footing to go underneath the wall. So ,I am going to open up my retaining walls model, then I'm going to go down to level one. Zoom in a little bit, on the structure tab, let's click the wall button. Let's hit the type selector drop down and let's scroll down till we find retaining wall 300 millimeter concrete click Edit Type. Let's click Duplicate, Let's call this retaining 305 millimeter concrete then hit okay. For the structure, let's click Edit, Let's make the thickness 305. Now click Ok Now click Ok. Location line let's set this to finish face exterior. For the base constraint, let's go top of footing. For the top constraint, let's go up to level two.
