Understanding sun settings

- [Instructor] So you've configured your location in the world and the direction of North. Next thing you want to consider is what time of year it is and what time of day it is. And both of those can be done in the Sun settings dialog. Now we can get there in a couple of ways on the manage tab on additional settings, we have Sun settings notice that it has a keyboard shortcut of SU, or if I click away from that menu and look at the view control bar, we also have Sun settings right here on this little Sun popup. So choose any one of those methods to get here. And then in the Sun settings dialog, there'll be a solar study area on the left that has four options. Now it defaults to lighting and lighting is like over the shoulder lighting. It's not accurate. It's not considering your location at all. So really all lighting is for is if you just want to create a rendering and you want the shadows to be in a certain area,…
