Add Rentable area boundaries

- [Instructor] In this video we're going to continue with creating our rentable area scheme and we're going to focus on the area boundary lines. So if you recall from the previous video when we created the area plans it also created boundary lines for the exterior walls. Now it only created them for the exterior walls, so what you're going to see right away is that if you tried to create an area it will come out as Not Enclosed. So there are some gaps in this area boundary. And you can see those gaps right here at the front facade of the building. And that's because there's actually these small little sections of wall that are embedded in a larger wall. Now the remedy to the situation is you could go to the Area Boundary tool, you could go to the Line tool and draw in small little segments to fill those in. Of course, doing that means that those little segments are going to be manual and you're going to have to maintain them manually. You could cancel out of that command and select…
