- [Instructor] You've seen it, these new plexiglass shields we all use as germ barriers. Is there a standard for how high these things should be? There is at the time of the release of this course. I bet it's different from when I wrote this course though. luckily we have adjustable global parameters to deal with the ever changing environment we find ourselves in. The objective of this video is to add an in-place shield to the reception desk. In Revit let's go Open, I'm going to open Syracuse Health Architecture nine, but, of course, open any model that you feel like working in. Let's focus on the reception area. I have two conveniently placed section markers. I do this before I start editing in-place families, because you can't double click on datums other than elevations or section markers when you're in the actual edit mode for the family.
