Adding an annotation to an appliance
- [Instructor] With the appliance modeled, we just need to make a simple annotation. In this video, I'd like to make a generic annotation and add it to our heater. Revit, under Families, let's go New. Let's go to Annotations. Let's go to Generic Annotation. Let's click Open. Select your text, and delete it. 'Kay, here we go. On the Create tab, let's click on the Line button. The subcategory is Generic Annotations, which is okay. On the Draw panel, click on the Pick Lines button. And let's offset 1/16 of an inch. I'm to go left, then right. Let's offset 1/8 of an inch. This time I want to go up. I don't want to straddle this line because this is our pretend wall. Let's go to Create. Let's go to Line. Let's pick lines, and make sure it's locked. And let's grab this line right here. Type t + r for trim. Let's trim it. Click on the little A right here for text. Make sure the alignment is Align Center and…
